One Case of Krukenberg Tumor

Abstract
|
|
|
The ovary is a rather frequent site of metastasis from malignant neoplasm arising elsewhere in the body, the majority of these orignating from the GI tract.
The best know tumor of this type is krukenberg tumor of gastric origin.
The tumor always has signet ring cells.
Treatment is mainly surgical with added chemotherapy but the prognosis is still very poor indeed.
We have experienced one cases of metastatic tumor from stomach and report the case with brief review of literature.
